Lilac is one of my favorites colors! Don’t you just love feeling pretty? That’s how I feel when I wear this dress. The weight of this fabric is so lovely, which helps the dress hang so nice.
The embroidery on this dress is so delicate and feminine. I love how girlie I felt when I put it on.
This dress was cut for my shape – my waist is small, so I liked the empire waistline with the drawstring tie. The lower part of this dress works for me, because it’s loose and flowy.
I carry my weight through my hip and thighs, and that requires me to have to get things altered. I have an alterations specialist, and I take a good bit of my clothing to her. It’s so worth having your clothes fit you properly. That’s why it’s so important to have a great alteration person who knows what they are doing and you trust working on you garments. I paired the dress with these Vera Wang platforms, rosegold watch and earrings. I also had these vintage copper bracelets that were my sweet momma’s.
