A field of flowers in the concrete jungle. Well, that’s what I was thinking as I shot this jumpsuit in the city last week. This print reminds me field of wild flowers!
Have you ever been driving on the interstate and seen the median filled with flowers? It looks like someone flew over the area and sprinkled it with thousands of seeds. Every time I notice the flowers, I think to myself, “I’m going to stop someday and stand in the middle of all that beauty”. Then I’m going to take a picture. I think it, but I’ve never done it. I’m really going to try this year to get that shot. You know like Dorothy in the “Wizard of Oz” standing in the field of poppies. I loved that movie as a kid and still do!
It was warm downtown and felt so good to be outside in the sunshine. There wasn’t a need for a jacket or blazer. My bare white arms could have blinded a driver coming down Peachtree Street, and in previous years, it would have bothered me but, not today. I was thankful to be out and grateful to be able to do what I love. In the next month or two I’ll get around to putting some self-tanner on. I promise you won’t have to see these legs and arms white and pasty all summer long.
This cute jumpsuit is from Old Navy. I really like the price point, and its under $40. I brought a denim jacket to wear (because I’m always cold), but I didn’t need it though.
I also think this jumpsuit would look cute with a white tee underneath it, if you’re not comfortable with the spaghetti straps. Or you could add a denim jacket for those of you who aren’t crazy about showing your white arms.
I mixed the snakeskin print wedges and necklace in for texture. Oh and I can’t forget about this cute straw clutch with the pineapple on it. It’s under $20.
A great outfit can look just like nature’s beauty and not cost a fortune.
Don’t forget to stop, look and smell the flowers!
It’s a beautiful day!
