Earlier this year, I attended the wedding festivities of the daughter of a dear friend of mine. I figured it would be wonderful to throw a blog together on what wedding guest dresses you could wear in Spring and Summer of 2021!
As the first event I attended after the coronavirus lockdowns, I was so excited to get out of the house. The bridal luncheon was small, intimate and so sweet. And the wedding festivities were held at a beautiful venue, with an even more beautiful ceremony and reception following.
Wedding Guest Dresses 2021
For the bridal luncheon, I chose this pale green dress by Gianni Bini, featuring a beautiful braided belt. I love the Grecian influenced style it has. The elastic hemmed sleeves make it perfect for transitions from breezy morning weather, to warmer afternoons. As well as providing options for styling. — Pushing sleeves up to ¾ length leaves ample room for cute and flashy wrist candy! The braided belt also makes this dress magnificent for any body type. The cinched waist with beautiful bunched fabric creates an hourglass shape and can accentuate curves that are already there. The color was so reflective of the delicate, feminine mood of the event.
During the wedding and reception, I wore a blue silk dress from Helmut Lang. The dress features a cape-like back, with a gorgeous belted front. I paired it with rose gold accessories and shoes, as well as a black fur short sleeved jacket. Unfortunately I got this a few years ago, but I linked some similar ones and other Helmut Lang dresses that I love below!
The two dresses serve as a snapshot that shows my ultimate goal of growth and creative exploration. My desire to grow in my work and collaborate with brands and artists, similar to Helmut Lang, will allow me to push my personal boundaries of eclectic styling, and provide another foundation from which to encourage you to do the same.
To me, the perfect dress to wear to a wedding, (or anywhere) isn’t going to be solely dependent on the events colors or whether the attire is black or white tie.
