Snakeskin Trend

Are you on board for the snakeskin trend? Well, I sure am. I’m happy to see it’s still going strong as we roll into fall.

I wore this dress that’s a python print (here) right after the first of the year. I’ll wear it as a duster with a tee shirt, a pair of denim and trainers moving forward into our next season. I also can’t wait to layer a chunky sweater over it with booties when it gets cold. I’m also thinking about adding a turtle neck under the dress and wearing a burgundy belt for a little color.

That’s what is so cool about a python (black and white or black, cream and tan mix) it’s a neutral in these colors and very versatile. I’ve gathered a bunch of snakeskin patterned items down below and not only in a python print, but also other fall colors. I know there are those of you who are not wanting to wear a whole outfit of this pattern thinking it might be a little overwhelming. Sometimes starting small is the best way to go. Have you thought of adding a trendy pattern like this by way of accessories like shoes, a bag or belt? These pieces can add texture and interest to a simple outfit.

And have you looking like you should be walking the cat walk in a fall fashion show.

The dark gray snakeskin jeans I’m wearing I wore in Charolette, NC. It was warm out at the time, so I wore a ribbed tank and sandals to go out. Now all I’m going to add is a faux leather jacket to the mix as it cools off here in the south.

I added the electric blue clutch, because it needed a bit of color.

Speaking of color, aren’t all the plants, trees and flowers beautiful in these pictures? The lady that has this gorgeous front porch has the sweetest daughter who works at a nursery in Charlotte. She was adding to her mom’s front porch garden as we shot these pictures. We were admiring her handy work as well as her green thumb. I would love to have a front porch like this and someone to tend to it all. Alas, at my house its just me and my husband, but we are enjoying the last bit of my flowers that are still around. And my gardenia bushes are blooming. The smell is wonderful when I open my from door. It’s a mix of gardenia and fall leaves.
