Orange is the New Black

Orange is the new black, or at least that’s happening in my wardrobe. I hope by now we are all seeing signs of spring, so it’s out with the dark colors of winter and in with new eye-popping shades like this lovely orange.

At my house I do have to admit orange is a year-round color. My sweet husband is a University of Tennessee alumnus. During football season, on most Saturdays, orange is worn by all the men in our house. There are 3 to be exact. It is paired with shouts of “Go Big Orange” and “Go Vols”, while Rocky Top plays in the background. For me, I never want to be the one to disturb the mojo of the team or my household, so I wear my colors proudly.

Last week, when I was so fortunate to be part of the Style Event at Chico’s, I was thrilled to be able to wear this lovely textured fringe jacket in orange. It was paired with these painted botanical girlfriend jeans, and this layered lace white top. The lace top is sold out, but I’ve tag a similar top. The rest of this outfit can be found down below.

Chico’s has truly embraced the women of the Fierce 50! They really have listened to what midlife women have been saying. We aren’t nearly finished with living – in fact for a lot of us life has just begun. For many it’s a time to start something new, and for others it’s a time to reinvent themselves. Chico’s is also helping to fill the gap in the market place for those of us who are still young at heart and ready to grab life by the tail and run with it. For those of you who have worked hard to stay current and relevant with fashion, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with what they have to offer. In fact, I believe they have something for all ages.

I was very impressed with the store at Phipps Plaza. The merchandising in the store, made for an easy shopping experience for customers. The sales team was helpful, friendly and so knowledgeable, which was most helpful to me. I was able to know the merchandise to some degree, to be able to help the customer while I was there. I really felt like part of the family and I could see that the customers felt the same way! Who doesn’t want to be part of a cool family?
