Holiday Attire

Tis the season when getting together with friends, going to work Christmas parties, cookie swaps, the grandkids holiday sing-along at school, and I can’t forget my girls group holiday exchanges. Yes, there is a lot going on. Having to figure out what to wear that looks holiday-ish is always fun, because you know at most gatherings there will be pictures taken to mark the occasion. I’ve never been one to want to repeat my outfit during all the festivities. I’ve been a firm believer that it’s always better to be over-dressed then under-dressed too. The hubs doesn’t always feel the same way, but hey, he’s married to a stylist, so he’s learned to live with it.

So here are two outfits I’ve partnered with JD Williams to show you. I’ll be wearing one to my girls holiday exchange and the other to my granddaughter’s holiday sing-along at her school. JD Williams has a great selection this time of year for holiday attire and everyday wear also to carry you right on through the holiday into next year. Their sizes range from size 6-28.

This first outfit I’m going to be wearing to my girls group Christmas exchange and dinner is this floral sweater. The sweater is a size 6. I really Iiked the floral asymmetrical pattern down the one side and the sleeve. I also am a big turtleneck fan, because I’m always cold. I wore this pleated satin olive skirt I’ve had for a while. Pleated skirts are just fun to wear, and this one is comfortable and fun to twirl in. I decided to go with striped socks. Socks with pumps are in this season and warm as well. I liked the striped pattern with these gold Heavenly Soles Fringed Shoes. These shoes look similar to a much more expensive pair out by a certain designer, but these are a fraction of the cost and look every bit as nice.

The next outfit that I’m wearing is to Frankie’s little class sing-along. This fluted sleeve sweater is featured in mauve and black.  I think Mauve is such a pretty color for everyone, and at this time of year, when dark colors are worn a lot, a soft color like this brightens my day. This sweater was paired with denim, and well….. denim is my comfort food in clothing form. When we went to grandparents day at Frankie’s school a couple months ago, we played with the kids and got down on the floor. I wanted to be able to be comfortable, and denim is my go-to for that.

The shoes I chose are so darling with pearls and crystals on them. I also added a pearl necklace and earring to this look to match with the shoes. Since the sweater had more of an open v-neck, I wore this lush and warm faux fur. I think this coat is just smashing to look at and so, so soft!

This coat will be on repeat this winter because it fits me so well and is so warm. I think it looks quite good with the denim and dresses it up a bit. It will also glam up an evening dress or jumpsuit for an evening out for cocktails and dinner with friends.

JD Williams has been so very kind to give all my readers a discount code to use! The code is SILVER40. Make sure to use it when you check out to save 40% off your purchase.
