Green Knit Dress and a Hat

This green knit dress is definitely a dress for this time of year. The festive green color will be a hit regardless how you wear it. Casual or dressed-up, the color alone says holiday fun!

I grabbed a plaid blazer from last year that was part of some work I did with cabi clothing. I found a few similar ones and linked them down below.

I decided to wear it with off-white boots. These boots are from Zara. The square toe box and chain detail were what I thought was so interesting. The heel height was another factor, because it is perfect for an on-the-go day. If you are more into a simpler style boot, I chose and have listed another pair down below.

One of the main reasons I wanted these boots was that the color matched my tote bag.

This tote has been my go-to bag, since I purchased it at the Nordstrom sale months back. I really didn’t realize how much it goes with. I like that I can look into this tote and see what I’m looking for all the way to the bottom. So many of my bags are like a black bottomless pit, and it’s such a pain to go find anything in. You know what I’m talking about? A big bag with dark lining, where the bits you are looking for have all fallen in the corners. And you’re so frustrated that you empty the whole thing out to find that missing item. Well, with this tote you don’t have to go there!

I added a hat to jazz things up. I wear hats quite a lot and all year round.

In the fall and winter, I’ll wear them to keep me warm. We also have had a good bit of rain this year, and I have curly hair, so anything to tame and protect my silver hair.

Oh, there is one more thing I want to share.

I know that some of you will think that wearing a dress that is form fitting is something you aren’t comfortable with, but I believe the key is a good fitting bra and shape wear. I’m a curvy gal and as much as I work out, it will never take care of what naturally happens to our bodies as we age. Shape wear is a key to helping us all. I like the High Power Shorts I’m wearing. It can smooth out many issues, lumps, bumps and bulges. There is a full bodysuit that will take care of you from your bust down to your thighs. These pieces are so beneficial to have when wearing anything thing that is form fitting or formal.

In between typing this, I’m in the midst of making homemade Turkey soup from my leftovers from Thanksgiving. It will be the perfect meal as it is starting to drizzle outside. On gray fall days, I crave a nice bowl of soup and a biscuit. My comfort food.

I always love to hear from you, so do tell what you have been up to? And as always, thank you for taking time out of your day to catch up with me.

Stay safe! And blessings and love to you and yours!

XO
