Fall & Winter Favorites

With the New Year literally right around the corner, it’s a wonderful time to shop, especially in the area of beauty and cosmetics. Now is the time to try new things and explore new products without draining your wallet.  There are fabulous gift sets and color palettes from contouring to lip sticks and eye shadows to a combination of all of these together.

So to say I get a little excited when Fall and Winter/Holidays come would be an understatement! When Tarte came out with their Tartelette Amazonian clay matte palette, I knew it would be great one to have. This palette has 12 exclusive matte shadows that are a mix of shades you can use as a liner as well as colors for your crease and lid. These shadows wear so well and can easily take you from a casual, day look to evening look with a few brush strokes.

One thing I’ve found….  As my skin has matured, frost, shimmer or iridescent have a tendency to highlight and settle in those lovely laugh or smile lines around my eyes, so using matte shadows has a much more youthful look.

Colors come in an array from cream to nude, warm browns, mauve, plum to black. Notable names are Free Spirit, Force of Nature, Dreamer, Multi-Tasker, Best Friend, Super Mom and Fashionista, to name a few.  I felt quite empowered as I applied a few of these great shades on. It also comes with a step-by-step look guide, if you’re unsure as to where to apply colors or if you aren’t adventurous enough to try a new look. These shadows are also Paraben and Pthalate free, and formulated without mineral oil, sodium and gluten.
