Happy Holidays to all! Thought I’d do a quick look back at one of last year’s holiday looks. This black and cream dress was purchased off season the year before and at a ridiculous price. I tried the dress on not so much for the style, but because it was a Nanette Lepore and I really like the way her clothes fit me. I remember this so well, because I was shopping with my sweet momma at the time. As I picked the dress up, she chuckled asking me when I had I started liking lace? (anyone that really knows me, knows I’m not much of a lacy kind of lady) I showed her who it was made by and that I wanted to give it a go and try it on. And of course you guessed it, it fit like it was made just for me. When I got home with this dress, this is what I did to make it more my style…..a little more edgy and a little less prim. I added a black leather bomber jacket, black tights, black booties and a simple black clutch. ZING! That easy. It’s also easy to take a black&cream or black&white floral or striped dress that you already have from another season and wear it in the colder months as well — just by adding these few pieces to get an entirely different look.
