A Little Rest & Relaxation

Hi Everyone! This post will be short and sweet, because I’m in Los Angeles with my husband. He’s here on business, and I came for fun to keep him company. He’s been wanting me to go with him, but with helping with the grandkids its so hard to get away. Or at least that was my excuse, so he took care of that and called and asked my daughter if it would be okay for me to have the week off. So here I am staying at a nice Embassy Suites right down the road from Disneyland.

I was born here in California, at Travis Air Force Base where my Daddy was stationed at the time. We lived so close to where I’m at now, so I’ve been videoing the area. Since I’ve been here, I’ve sent my parents the videos and pictures of the front of Disneyland. When I was 3 years old, they took me to Disneyland. I have a picture of Daddy and me riding on the Dumbo ride together. I don’t remember it, but I do have the picture to prove it. I won’t be going to Disneyland this trip though, but it was fun walking from the hotel down to the entrance of the park and snapping a few pictures and video.

I do plan on getting in the pool and swimming a bit, so I brought this cute suit! Its another from Kortni Jeane, and I do like the mix of animal print and pink. This swimmer is nice, because it has this lovely sweetheart neckline, and you can remove the straps to make it a strapless top for sunbathing. The peplum on the top is great to camouflage your midrift, if that happens to be a problem area for you. They also have other style tops and bottoms to choose from. Kortni Jeane’s sizing runs from XS-XL. If you are needing a different size other then this, then I have listed below a similar brand with vintage style suits that carries a broader size range.

I’m so glad this vintage like style of suit is in fashion again. I really think it is a suit that fits every body type with the high waist for women with tummy issues. The way the legs are cut makes it fit a hippy girl like me, which is where my problem area is. Kortni Jeane also has a large selection of nice patterns to mix and match the tops and bottoms to get the most wear out of your swimmers.

Sometimes you need a week to kick back and relax. This week on the West coast has been just perfect!

Oh and one more thing before I forget, because I don’t want you to miss out! Nordstrom has their Anniversary Sale starting July 13-20 (Early Access when you have a Nordstrom Card) and then the sale will open for public access starts July 21 – August 6. This is when I purchase a good bit of my fall/winter trends at some really great prices and big savings. I will post below some of the things I am really loving for this season coming up. These pieces will be playing a big role in my wardrobe come fall and winter. And if you are like some of my friends (I wish I was more organized to be able to do this) it’s a great sale to start your Christmas shopping with. I know it sounds crazy, but I have some friends come October they have all their holiday shopping done. They sit back and watch the rest of us go mad as we scramble to get ours done.

Its real life, I kid you not!
