What I Wore To BSF Class

I’m sure you are probably wondering “What in the world is BSF?” BSF stands for Bible Study Fellowship which is an in-depth, interdenominational bible study that runs along with the public school calendar. It starts a couple weeks after school begins in the fall and ends a week before school is out for the summer. We meet once a week at a local church and it really has been life changing. I’ve been attending these classes for over 20 years. What’s so amazing about this study is each week when we meet there are also thousands of other groups meeting in more than 70 countries (around the world) for the same chapter by chapter bible study. I’ve met the most kind and caring women from all walks of life and all denominations that have made a big impact in my life. My Momma started going with me when they moved here 14 years ago, so most weeks we will grab lunch, coffee or a smoothie and sometimes we even get a little shopping in. Just spending time together with her is extremely special to me.

It’s funny I never dreamed I’d be in class with my mother. We enjoying learning together and both agree you’re never too old to take classes to educate yourself. If there is something that you’re interested in, midlife is a great time to learn something new by taking a class.

Todays #ootd is a simple wrap skirt that’s I’ve had for a while. I wore it here during the holidays with velvet and thigh high boots. An easy skirt to add to your arsenal, because it looks cool and chic with a graphic tee (like a vintage Rolling Stones or Star Wars, I have both) and a denim jacket with lace up boots.

I chose a chunky white sweater to wear today and paired it with white leather high top sneakers. This sweater is thick, so I wore a vintage leather jacket that is over sized and a patch-work cross body bag added just a bit of color.

My makeup I kept simple. During the winter I focus on my skincare, because during the winter the weather is cold and dry. I have sensitive skin, so I’m concentrating on keeping my skin hydrated by drinking a lot of water. And keeping my skin protected from the sun by wearing an SPF, even in the cold.

I’ll give you what I used down below. The easiest thing I did was use Hour Glass high lighter on my eyes for shadow and on my cheeks. A little bit of Mac kohl pencil in the color “Teddy” as liner and smudged it on my top lid, mascara, blush, bronzer, and lip color. It took me about 35 minutes to do.

I braided my hair the night before to keep it out of my way. I took the braids out, ran a brush through my hair and out the door I went.

XO
