Valentine’s Day was a great success. Am I the only one that thinks that the days are moving at light speed? We had reservations at the Optimist at 5:30pm. It was a little early, but I was okay with that, I’d rather eat earlier than late. I feel like I sound like my parents when I say that. I’m laughing now as I write this, I really am turning into my mom and dad. I have to say our dinner was delicious, and I will most definitely go back to eat there again. I posted the highlights on my Insta Stories.
Good food and my handsome husband made for a perfect Valentine’s Date!
In years past I always had to have the perfect outfit for whatever holiday we were celebrating. I’m mellowing with age, and this year I decided I wanted something I would get more wear out of then that just one night. Or even a couple times. I went out to look at what was out for Valentine’s Day, and as I looked, it validated even more I wanted something practical to wear. So with that in mind, I began my search.
Here’s what I decided on!
I found this necktie scarf at Madewell and thought that it was so cute with the tiny little hearts all over it. I planned right then and there that I would wear this cream suit I’ve had for years. I’ve always liked wide leg trousers. I like how the pant moves when you wear a heel with them. Madewell tee shirts are so soft, and I have several, so I grabbed this red v-neck one. And then I found this matte gold heart earrings to add to it.
I’m really proud to say this cost me very little. The fact I’ll be able to wear it all again all through the spring and summer is what I’m stoked about.
I’m challenging myself to try and shop my closet more. It can be done, and it doesn’t have to cost a lot either.
