This look was part of an outfit that I just posted and blogged about, but I only focused on the necklaces that I wore. Now I want to go back and talk about the rest of this outfit, which contains some of the favorite pieces in my wardrobe. The beautiful leather coat I’m wearing was one of those finds that I was so excited about when I found it that I had to pinch myself. I was downtown and decided to stop at one of my favorite thrift stores, Buffalo Exchange. I was not really looking for anything in particular, but that is when I always stumble upon a diamond in the rough. This coat was hanging there, I looked at it, and it was missing buttons. The ones that were left were big, brown and plastic, (yuck). I pulled the coat out, felt the leather, looked it all over, and it was perfect without a mark on it. The leather was such a great quality, so soft and smooth, fully lined. My next thought was the price, (it’s going to be expensive), but to my surprise it was only $35. As I tried it on, I was thinking, “its not going to fit”, because it was too good to be true! And voila’, it was made for me. The only thing that needed to be done was to update the buttons! And there you go, this amazing chocolate brown leather coat! Every time I wear it, I have someone comment on it!
Putting it together with another beautiful bag from “Wayuu to Me.” This is a one-of-a kind bucket bag handmade by one of the Wayuu women from Colombia. The design and colors are just fabulous. Denim is always my go-to bottom to wear, and then these Free People booties finished the look. I had a yummy meal at Bartaco in Inman Park, which I would highly recommend! Everything is made from scratch daily. All this, along with a dear friend to enjoy the meal with, and time to catch too! It all made for a most enjoyable day for this Uptown Girl!
