Straw Hat and All That

The straw hat is all that! I’ve really been enjoying wearing this straw hat a lot this season.  I got it a couple months ago from Gap. I’ve always liked all sorts and types of hats, but I’ve had a hard time wearing them because I’ve always had bangs. So now that I’ve grown my bangs out, it’s made it much easier for wearing all the of hats I love. I like the way a hat can changes the look of an outfit whether its casual or dressy and it’s functional too.  I’ve also been extremely conscious about keeping the sun off my face this summer, and this hat does a great job of that.

I’m so wanting Fall to hurry up and get here. I put this outfit together to show how you can start transitioning from Summer into Fall. The top is a fine gauge knit from Zara that is very lightweight. It’s paired with dark denim skinny capris that are from New York and Company. The weight and stretch of this denim make it easy to wear them as a year-round pant.  I added this belt, made of calf hair with a leopard print pattern, in black and burgundy. I also chose these soft red berry-colored booties from Nordstrom. I found these BP booties after the winter season was long over. It was already Spring, and I knew they be a good addition this Fall and Winter, and the price was excellent. As far as my bag goes, it gives me another opportunity to carry my new “Valley Tote” in Olive from Will Leather Goods. Olive looks great with reds and burgundy.
