Always a Kid at Heart

I’ve always been a kid at heart. I believe you can find joy and have fun when it comes to anything, because it’s all a matter of attitude and perspective. There are those times when life is tough, hard and ugly, but I still believe your attitude in those times is what gets you through. Even medical science agrees that when someone is ill, their attitude going in can be a game-changer, not only for them, but also for all the people around them. You see there are always people watching us and how we deal with the good and bad. I’ve tried to be conscious of my attitude especially around my family and peers. I’ve been very tuned in this past week with my granddaughter. I’ve realized seeing life through the eyes of a child is pretty cool. It doesn’t change me per se, but it does make me want to be a little sillier, regardless of who’s watching. I laughed a little more and played a little harder. I really haven’t had any problem acting or playing like a kid. You can ask my 80-year-old dad, who is constantly worried I’m going to hurt myself acting like a kid. I guess we never stop parenting…. my poor parents. So here’s to always being a kid at heart! Remember to play hard on the playground of life, enjoy all the beauty and color of today! And don’t be surprised how contagious your attitude will be! And laugh at yourself, take a lesson from me – go down the slide. It was a blast!!

This maxi is from H&M and the bold pattern with all the color drew me to it. This dress also has ruffles, which are so in this season. I paired it with a bright clutch and shoes. It looks like a box of basic crayons with a few neon colors added in.
