I traveled to New York last week. I’ll write more about it in a later blog post. It was great to be in the Empire State to visit with old and new friends. It’s the very best thing about doing what I do. It’s all the wonderful people that I get to meet. You all follow along, and I get to talk with you and get to know you. And some become dear friends. It really is what feeds my soul.
What to wear on a plane? The choices I made for this trip were based on comfort and being warm. I freeze all the time! You would think that on a plane, where you are packed in like sardines, that it wouldn’t be an issue. But it is.
This sweater was just the right weight and a nice wool blend. It’s a little oversized, so it was really cozy to wear. It’s also on sale now here, so check it out.
The wide leg pants are satin and are a little heavier then a pajama pant would be. I was a little concerned that they would be wrinkled with all the sitting. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to see that wasn’t an issue. To look at me, you’d never know I had been sitting for a couple of hours.
I also decided to wear these patent leather mules. These shoes are easy to slip on and off as well as walk in. When I fly, I drink more to keep hydrated. Then of course I add in some pretzels or some other salty snack the attendants pass out. The combination of sitting, eating and drinking makes my feet swell. No worries here with these mules – I could slide my feet out with no problem.
I arrived happy and ready to have some fun! And that’s just what I did!
