We Picked Polka Dots

I’m a firm believer in the fact that you can never have too many friends. I thrive on meeting new people and hearing their stories. It feeds my soul!

When I started this journey of blogging, I really have to admit I had no idea the direction I wanted to go or the impact that it would have on my life. I kind of started it at the encouragement of my friends and to help others. Little did I know I was going to get way more out of this journey than I ever felt like I have given.

I’ve had the opportunity to meet the most amazing people and have friends all over the world – people that I’ve never personally met, but consider dear friends. Here in Atlanta, I’ve had the privilege of meeting other bloggers and forming wonderful friendships. I try and make at least one new friend a day, and on some days, when I get the honor to make more, its like I’ve won the lottery.

Not too long ago, I met up with my sweet friend and fellow blogger, Shahad. We decided to stop and shop at an area not that far from my house. I had arrived early and started looking and gathering up a few things to try on. As I was trying some of the clothes I had gathered up, here came Shahad to try on what she had found. We both got to laughing as we stepped out of the fitting rooms and realized we had picked several of the same exact items.

So we got the great idea to shoot the items we had that were the same.

We decided we would style them each our own way….the mid-lifer and the millennial! It really turned out to be such a fun time. It also shows that young or old, you can make it your own. I’m old enough to be this sweet girl’s mother, but I get to call her my friend.
