Vested Year Round

I have new perspective for 2021, and with that a new vision for “The Silver Stylist” and all that it has come to mean to me. I want to make this more relevant to who I am, and what I love. My blog will be driven by the things that I’m crazy and passionate about: Fashion, Makeup, Skincare, Haircare, Food, Travel, and all of you guys, that’s what I really care about the most. Everyone of you who are kind enough to tune in and or follow along. I want your input as to what you would like to see and read about here on the blog.

I want to hear from you!

Now to my outfit……………………

You all know that I love finding pieces I can build and grow with. Especially pieces that are different, like this cut out shirt bib I picked up from COS. I love how versatile it is and how well it can complement anyone’s wardrobe. It even features button holes to seamlessly fit over any button-down top you might pair it with. I’ll wear this bib over a cotton crew neck tee this spring and then with a tank in the summer. Simple, but yet unique. How cute will that be? Adding something small can do tremendous things when it comes to getting the best out of the classics in your closet.

Also- layering is a way to add dimension to a look.

Layering is a great way to experiment with your personal style, because it fosters so many opportunities to play with colors and texture. It’s an absolute must for staying warm on these chilly mornings.

In the interest of staying comfy during our more temperate afternoons, versatile fabrics, like this lightweight wool, make this navy vest fantastic for year-round wear. It adds a touch of sophistication that works perfectly in tandem with the urban feel of these faux leather joggers to make this ensemble perfect for anything and everything your day-planner has in store for you; creating a look that’s office chic and just playful enough for evening dinner dates with all the people you care for the most.

Who said that sandals can’t be worn year round? I love the elegance that an ankle strap brings to an outfit. So, why not add a pair of sparkly socks to a pair of suede ankle strap sandals? There’s no need to sacrifice style because of the cold, its another really fun way to add texture, and there’s so much liberty you can take in choosing a pair with wild colors and patterns.

Another fantastic wardrobe staple is this taupe tote from Frame. Its versatility has made it one of my favorite go-to pieces. Here, I let it stand, charming, all on its own. Other times, it’s fun to add a pop of color by tying a silk scarf around its strap.

A messy bun finished this outfit. It is a quick and easy way to get my hair pulled up and out of the way! I just wad it up and over to the side using a couple clear little rubber bands to anchor it. The messier it looks, the better, and it works really well when your hair is dirty. I never thought I’d say I’m happy to have this long silver hair, but I love the versatility it gives me at this length. I like that I can change it up with what I wear.
