Twirling Skirt

Happy New Year to you all! I hope everyone is settling into their routine/rythym after the holiday. I loved the time I was able to spend with family and friends. The only part I wasn’t happy about was that the time zipped by so quickly. But I say “Hello and Welcome 2017!”

I haven’t been as happy to welcome the weather that has come with the New Year. The rainy, overcast and gray days are rather dreary, but that’s when I like to amp up my outfit for the day. It’s funny that most of my memories as a child are vivid pictures of what I was wearing during certain times in my life. I suppose that’s when my love of fashion, hair and makeup began to develop. I see this same passion in my granddaughter, and she’s not even two yet. She loves to play dress up. When I was a little girl, one of my favorite things to dress up in was a skirt I could twirl in. I have to say a lot has changed since I was younger, but one thing hasn’t – my affection for a twirly skirt. So as it rained, I played dress up.
