Tuxedo Leggings & a Edgy Tee

I have been dying to wear these denim leggings since I purchased them during the Nordstrom sale. It’s just bearable to wear lightweight denim pants now without roasting to death since the evenings are beginning to cool down. I hate to complain, because I’m not a cold weather girl. I’d much rather have warmer weather over cold temps any day.

This pair of leggings I actually had grabbed during the sale thinking the were a skinny pair of denim, and I was all about the red line running down the side.  Wanna talk about something that will make you look longer, taller and leaner? it’s this little line there. I wore a similar pair of skinny denim here. I really liked the way they made my legs look. I was surprised to see they were leggings, and all I had to do was pull these bad boys on. No zipper, fly or button to mess with.  These particular leggings are Zeza B by Hue. I have several pairs of leggings from Hue I purchased about 10 years ago. I kept them to wear under long shirts and dresses. They were one of the first brands I tried that had leggings that looked like denim. Back then, the denim felt more like a knit and was not super gracious to your thighs and butt. They were very comfortable on, so they were easy to hold on to. This Tuxedo denim I’m wearing is nothing like my old Hue leggings. I’m impressed with Hue, you have come a long way since then.

When I pulled these leggings up, they looked great on my thighs and butt too. Another surprise! In the Nordstrom sale they were under $35, so they were sold the minute I saw how good they looked. They normally sell for $54, but they are 40% off now and under $35 again.

Yay!!!!

I decided on an edgy white tee with this deep V. I also know that not everyone is going to be comfortable wearing this cut of tee, so I found a similar tee with a scoop neckline that doesn’t come down as low. It is still cut out and has that rock and roll vibe, just not as extreme.

The belt bag is back in the mix and is really fun! It is great to carry when watching the grandkids. (Those times when you need both hands and don’t want to lug a purse and try and keep up with a little one.)

Marc Fisher booties are going to be going strong this fall with skirts and pants. Be prepared to see them in future posts.

These cat eye sunnies by Chimi are a reminder of my childhood. My Mom wore a similar pair when I was growing.  The only difference is Momma’s had rhinestones in the corners.

So leggings are a definite go-to item for this fall.  Get them on and get comfortable!
