Tuesdays are always fun for me because I get the privilege of watching my sweet granddaughter! She keeps me on my toes, busy playing house, pretending we’re cooking and talking fashion. Yes, we talk fashion! This little one loves my jewelry – she has already accumulated a few pieces of her own. We talk about what she’s wearing and which headband goes well with what she’s has on for that day. I say teach them while they are young! She’s like a little sponge…soaking it all in. She also watches everything I do, whether it’s good or bad, so this Mimi is aware of every step I take.
This sweet girl is also my running/walking buddy. We have logged quite a few miles together. Being fit is important in so many ways, but for us women over 50 I think even more so. If you are not active now, it’s never too late to start! Being healthy is big in my life because of my little granddaughter. I want to be able to keep up with her running and playing. As I’m running/walking, I’m also praying for cooler weather. The temperatures this summer have been brutally warm, so shorts and flowy dresses have been what I’ve been the most comfortable in.
Today’s OOTD is one of those cooler dresses that has been easy to wear now and will be fun to wear in the fall as well. I’m also loving these suede lace up wedges I found at the same time I found this dress. These wedges will be super with Khakis and denim with a button up going into the cooler weather too.
