Travel Day

Today’s been a travel day! I knew I would be wearing this outfit when we flew to Dusseldorf, Germany. (I shot these pictures in Atlanta before we left.)

I built this outfit around my shoes, because I knew we would be doing a lot of walking. I actually did my whole travel wardrobe based off the shoes that I pulled to wear on this trip. Shoes that I knew that would make my feet happy. If momma’s feet ain’t happy, momma ain’t happy!

Happy feet = a great vacation.

Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is such a fun brand. It’s a sneaker that not only is extremely fashionable (they look fabulous with skirts, dresses and denim. And of course don’t let me forget athleisure) but also are comfortable. This brand comes with a slightly higher price point, but if you shop around, you can find a good sale going on. This is the only way I was able to afford these. I’m also scanning the internet to find a hightop pair for fall/winter on sale as well. They are worth the investment, if you are thinking about taking the plunge. You won’t be disappointed.

The athleisure pants I’m wearing are from Alana. I was invited to their pop-up store in Atlanta a couple weeks ago. I was looking for a pant with the snaps down the leg. I had found a pair at Nordstrom and failed to purchase them when I saw them. And when I went back to look, they were gone. I was happy to see these at Alala pop-up store and loved the way they fit with the nice over-sized leg. I do have to tell you, the pockets with the long grosgrain ribbon zippers were one of the first things I noticed. This pant is sold out but do take a look at the line. They have some fun, colorful work-out gear and athleisure.

The graphic tee I couldn’t resist. I mean, Mickey Mouse and leopard are both huge trends right now. I really don’t think Mickey Mouse ever goes out of trend. As long as you have little ones around M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E will always be a child’s fan favorite. It definitely spoke to the kid in me. The leopard print is chic and stylish again this season. If you didn’t embrace it last year, you still have time to get on board.

I did add a faux tan leather Moto jacket and scarf to this look. I needed it when we landed in Dusseldorf. The temps here are about 10 degrees cooler than in Atlanta.

Our flight with Delta was wonderful. Their crews always take great care of you! I got caught up on some movies on our flight. I can’t tell you the last time I sat down to watch one. It also reminded me, I do want to go see “A Star is Born” when I get back home. The soundtrack alone is the bomb!!! My husband is laughing so hard at me right now. I’m rambling, because I’m tired. I’m proud I have been up since yesterday at 7:30 am. We did take a little nap this afternoon, but not too long. I want to sleep tonight.
