My Birthday Reflection………

This is 59 years old! Celebrating birthdays (for that matter anything) these days is challenging and different. The times we’re living in are challenging and different, but I know GOD has me. I’m thankful to Him for His salvation, mercy, love, grace and peace. He’s carried me through 59 years, and He’s never left my side. Life doesn’t look like I thought it would now, but it’s part of the journey. You guys have been with me on this adventure! I’m so blown away by all of you here on social media who are part of my community, reach out to me, follow me in my inconsistency, show your kindness and love me. You have no idea how you have ministered to me through some tough times. You have blessed me!! What I’m definitely trying to do these days is be present and live in the moment. What does that look like? For me it’s reaching out to others. Everyday we have the opportunity to make a difference in another person’s life and show LOVE! Just like you all have done for me over the years. So I want to thank you for the gift that you have given me. The gift of LOVE! It’s the BEST gift I could receive and I hold it deeply in my heart! ❤️

This year I picked up food and went to my mom and dad’s house. We all love Indian food, so I went to our favorite Indian restaurant , Poona. I ordered our favorites which are chicken tiki masala, lamb pasanda, garlic naan Bread, mushroom peas pilau and raita. We sat in my mom and daddy’s little kitchen. And ate this delicious food while we reminisced about when I was little. Their kitchen has lots of windows and we had a lovely view of the backyard, and got to watch the little hummingbirds fly into the Hummingbird feeder right next to the window. It was a quiet evening, but very special to me to have my parents there to celebrate with.

I just fell in love with the color combination of this tunic dress along with the pattern. It was fun and festive, but will be able to carry me into fall with a pair of white booties and a vest. I love that it has a tie up neck that you can leave open or tie. As well as side pockets, I mean come on a dress this cute and pockets. That was brilliant! I’m wearing a size extra small, so it may run a tad oversized.

So here’s to another trip around the sun. And upward and onward to 60! I really can’t wait!
