There’s No Place Like Family

When I was a kid one of my favorite movies was The Wizard of Oz. I couldn’t wait for it to come on. I loved Judy Garland as Dorothy and those ruby red slippers she wore throughout the movie. That may even be the period in time when my affection for shoes began. What I do know is that red shoes are still one of my all time favorites to wear. Today’s #ootd shoes are one pair that I own that are a little different. They are functional with a flare!  Aren’t they fun? These mules are like a pair of slippers, and so comfortable. The metallic red color is what I fell for when I first saw them a while back. I wore straight leg denim in this oatmeal color along with this striped top from Max Studio. The turquoise lariat necklace and earrings were a gift from my son and daughter in law for my birthday.

I’m on a very important family trip with my parents this week.  We’ve driven 800 miles to see the family we love.  And I do wish these shoes were like the ones from The Wizard of Oz! It would make it easier to just click them, so that we could see our family whenever we wanted!

Life is so very precious, so we all need to love each other well!
