This past Sunday was a great Sunday. It was the Sunday before Memorial Day, so it was a holiday weekend. My wonderful Daddy always wears his Air Force uniform to church on Memorial Day weekend out of respect for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country.
My Daddy is 80 years old and retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel. He had an amazing career – he even had the great honor to fly Air Force One. I am proud beyond words of my father. He is so sweet, so humble, and you can tell how much he loves everyone he comes in contact with.
On this particular Sunday, he made quite an impression as he greeted all the visitors to our church. I’m amazed he can still wear his uniform. He looks like he should still be in the front of the plane flying all over the world.
Although I couldn’t match my Daddy’s patriotic outfit, I still wanted to look my best on the great day. I knew I wanted a picture with him, and I got my wish! Everything I wore I’ve had for a while, but that’s what’s great about buying classic pieces, they last the test of time!
