Summer simplicity for me goes back to basics. A basic white tee and a pair of denim shorts. It’s a classic look! Although these have a slight twist! I’m a child of the 60’s! What can I say? I’m a little bit of a hippy chick deep in my heart.
These shorts are distressed and all patched up. They bring back memories of days long past. I remember having patches all over my jeans in the late sixties. Back then patches were used to cover all the rips and tears.
Now rips and distressing are all the rage.
When it comes to white tees they come in such a variety and variation these days. The one I’ve chosen is a crewneck pocket tee from Madewell.
I believe you need a least 3 whites tees in your repertoire. I always enjoy changing them up. That way they don’t get dingy and worn looking, and they’re also easy to wear into fall.
I like to have a v-neck tee, crew neck tee and a scoop neck to chose from.
A wedge sandal is easy on my feet these days. These Marc Fisher espadrilles are the “Randall platform.” I switch between this sandal and the “Adalyn” espadrille wedge which are both in a neutral brown.
A vintage pair of earrings, a necklace from Sylca Designs and a Hobo bag round out the accessories the rest of this look.
When it comes to running around after my grandkids to grabbing lunch and shopping on a cute summer day; this look works for everything.
