Stripes, Tweed and a Little Leopard

As I sit here typing, my attire for the last couple days has been work-out clothes. I did dress up yesterday afternoon (out from lounge wear) to go watch as my daughter took my new grandson to get his newborn pictures made. I can’t wait to see the finished pictures. If you follow me on Instagram I put up a few pictures I took during the shoot. The photographer that she used is the same one that did Frankie Rae’s newborn picture, Jamie Sapp Photography. Jamie does an amazing job, and she loves what she does! It shows in her amazing work. I can’t wait to show you the finished pictures. I know they will be gorgeous. She puts so much time and care into each photo session, and I swear she is a ‘“baby whisperer.” This is not a paid or sponsored post, but when you see someone that is gifted like Jamie, you want to share it with everyone.

So I have to say I can’t remember the last day we saw sunshine. It’s been so rainy here. Obviously it did come out, because I have these pictures to prove it. And on this day if my memory serves me correctly, it was warmer too. Because after I shot this outfit, I decided while I was walking back to the car that I’d go barefoot. I move a lot quicker that way.

The glorious life of a blogger.

Stripes, Tweed and a little leopard is what this outfit is all about. This blouse is from Chico’s, and it’s one of their “no iron” shirts. It’s a glorious thing that it didn’t require ironing, because on this day my iron decided to die. And I have yet to replace it. Note to self: I need to invest in a few more of these blouses! This blouse can be found over on Amazon on SALE. It will be a good blouse to wear with khakis and denim. The khaki and black stripe is classic and will last a long time in your closet.

This blazer is a Veronica Beard blazer. I happened upon this one on major sale. It is sold out, but I have found a similar one. This jacket is an investment piece, like so many of her pieces. And with the zip out dickeys there are a lot of different ways her blazers can be worn. I’m on the hunt to find one on sale, but if I can’t, I might have to break down and get one anyway.

The faux leather pants I have had for 6 years. I wear them every season and love them. I have even thought of getting a real leather pair. If you aren’t into that, I understand, and the quality of faux leather has come such a long ways since it first came out. I especially like these pants, because they are five pocket cut like a pair of denim. That’s why I probably love them so much, the fit!

The bag and shoes are a couple of years old. I don’t see leopard print going anywhere any time soon. It will follow or as some are saying “stalking” us into Spring and Summer 2019. I for one am happy to have it, it’s such an interesting print to throw into the mix and looks great with bright colors as well as with pastels.

So here’s hoping the sun comes out before we all wash away!

XO
