I’m drawn to florals these days, subconsciously I suspect because I’m longing for spring. Wishful thinking on my part, but I’m going with it. This black floral midi dress is one such print. This peasant style dress was so easy to wear with it’s loose and flow fit. In fact, I was really happy to be wearing this dress as I went out to dinner at Pietro NoLita located in New York City on 174 Elizabeth Street. If you are a lover of the color PINK, this is where you need to go. This place was cute and had the most scrumptious Italian food. If you are ever in New York and are out in Soho, it is worth stopping and dining in this unique little place. You won’t be disappointed. Also make sure to wear clothes that are not restricting so you can eat to your hearts content. I know I did and have no shame admitting it.
One of the great things so far about 2018 is I’ve had the opportunity to travel. I’ve also been able to meet and make new friends. Here a couple of the incredible people I’ve seen and visited with.
Susan Kanoff aka themidlifefashionista has been a friend of mine for quite some time. We have shared each other’s stories in a blog post I did here. Susan’s heart is massive, and it shows in the work she does at her non-profit, Uncommon Thread. Susan started this to help clothe women who have been in or are in the process of coming out of bad situations where there has been hardship and abuse. She helps them regain their self esteem through clothes and fashion.
I also got the chance to meet another friend of mine, Diana Gabriel aka Dianagabrielnyc.com. We were both featured on a site and became friends. She is a jewelry designer with her own unique sense of style that truly inspires me.
I look forward to seeing both these women on future visits to New York. I also have a list of many more whom I would love to meet up with and chat with too.
