Floral prints have been calling my name recently. It might be my longing for Spring to hurry and get here! The days are getting longer, and you know it’s that time for warmer temps. Next you can see the trees breakout their leafy foliage, thankful that ole man winter has come and gone. The flowers that are planted begin to come to life as they rise up out of the earth and bloom in the beds. It’s a time of renewal and new beginnings.
It’s the start of Spring!
Floral prints are always big in the Spring and Summer. They scattered the runways with big bold prints with bright colors. It’s like a huge flower garden on the runways! There was a lot of mixing floral patterns when it came to blouses, trousers and coats. Pattern mixing is something I absolutely adore. I find, however, if you are wanting to step out into the world of florals and aren’t sure where to start, it’s best to start small. A small floral print that’s not super busy is a great way to begin.
Here are two tops that are simple little floral prints.
What I like about both of these tops is neither one of the prints are overwhelming. I picked both of them up the other day at Loft , as I ran through to see what was new and to say “Hi” to an old friend.
I like these prints, because they are subtle and yet soft and feminine. And both tops have crew neck openings with a button closure in the back. I also really like the sleeves on both tops.
The green top has a long puff bell sleeve with a light elastic gather at the wrist. The sleeve can be pulled up to the elbow and worn as a 3/4 sleeve. The black floral has a 3/4 sleeve that follows the shape of your arm and stops past the elbow. It also has a notch slit cut-out of the sleeve opening. I like little details like this added to tops.
I’ve also added a few of my favorites down below for you to look at!
I’ve been reviewing Jeans from “Royalty For Me”, and these tops helped highlight this denim.
I’m sharing today about “Royalty For You” denim. I hadn’t really heard of the brand before they reached out to me. I was excited to try them out though. You all know that denim is my go-to pant on any given day. I picked out a black and blue pair. The style I chose was “Hide Your Muffin Top” High-Rise.
So here’s where I get real! I’m a curvy women, and no matter how thin I get, my shape never changes. It’s always been a struggle to find the perfect fit in any bottom when your waist is a size 0, and my hips are a size 4-6. I know I’m not alone, because when I’m working, it’s the topic of over 50% of the women I work with. It hasn’t always been something I’ve loved about myself, but as I’ve aged, I’ve learned to embrace who I am.
I’m actually happy I still have a butt.
This denim fits all my curves great guys! The waist fits to where there is no issue with the dreaded “muffin top”. They also fit well through the stride, and there isn’t any bunching in the front. They relax as you wear them but don’t lose their shape. I like to be able to wear my denim several times before having to wash them and still have them look good. These definitely pass the test. I really am quite impressed with this denim.
So be sure and express yourself with vibrant florals as nature does the same thing.
XO
