The pollen is in full bloom. It covers everything here in Atlanta. My cars are both white and have a nice yellow hue to them now. Its fun to try and keep ahead of all the yellow dust and almost impossible, but its part of spring– so I’m all in for whatever it takes to bring on those 65-70 degree temps.
With spring comes the challenge of figuring out what to wear that works from morning to evening and in between. The days start cool then warm up in the afternoon and then cool off as the sun goes down. I normally gravitate toward my blazers, light jackets (denim) and some of my thinner sweaters.
This season, however, I’m excited about all the dusters that are out. I’ve found them in a large array of pattern, prints and lengths. This makes it great for all body types to find one or more that fits your size and shape (petite, curvy and tall folks) as well as a huge selection of colors, fabrics, prints and florals.
This particular duster I’m wearing I took to New York to wear and was hoping to get some pictures in it while I was there. That was the morning it snowed, which meant no pictures. I was glad to have my heavy winter coat with me to keep me warm that morning. This duster would of failed miserably to keep me cozy, but now it’s a perfect item to have.
Since I didn’t get to take pictures with this outfit then, I decided to take them back here in Atlanta. This duster is almost sold out, but I’ve given you lots to look at below.
I want to also talk about a very easy way to wear a duster that will flatter any shape or size person you are. When you wear all one color pant and top, it elongates the body. It doesn’t matter if it’s light or dark. I’ve chosen off-white with this mauve-colored duster. Most would try and stay away from off-white because lighter colors make you look heavier, darker colors less, but it works.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on what you like wearing during these beginning spring days, and if you are as fond of dusters as I am!
