Slip it On

The always popular slip dress is back in the lineup now that we’ve got some warmer temperatures. Not that it really went out. I wore several slip dresses in the cooler weather. They were worn with a fitted long sleeve tee under them as well as being worn with a chunky over-sized sweater over the top.

The slip dress is so easy to wear year round but, I like them the most in the summer. That’s when I can wear them unrestricted and as is! Literally “slip” one on and go! That’s why this type of dress is ranked up there with some of my other favs….the LBD and LWD.

This particular slip dress has a twist with two tone satin like fabric. The ying and yang as I like to call it with the dark stripe fabric sewn on a slight diagonal to the lighter stripe. The two tone fabric elevates this slip dress and makes it much more interesting to me. I also like the asymmetrical hemline with the lighter striped ruffle attached all the way around. Yes, it not your average slip dress which is the reason I gravitated toward it. I’ve also given you several other interesting slip dresses down below.

And not to leave those of you out who like a more “classic” slip dress. I’ve given you several to look at in a rage of different colors and lengths.

I’m also so very thankful that the trend is still hot and heavy for wearing sneakers with all types of clothing even a slip dress!

Aren’t these Golden Goose sneakers edgy and fun, besides being really comfortable? I do believe that even if it’s not trendy to wear them, I’ll still continue.

I guess my point is it doesn’t always have to be a trend to be worn.

Thats the great thing about being 56 for me, I’m happy in my own skin.
