Shirts and Stripes Forever

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

I’m so thankful for those who sacrificed so much so we can have freedom in this country!

We normally get together with the kids, but this year was different. The hubby and I got together with a dear friend of ours at her house. We had a great relaxing day, even though we didn’t get to see the whole family. I’m so blessed to live where we live and have the community of friends that we do. In a lot of ways these dear ones have become an extension of our family. That to me is very special and precious.

Let’s talk about this Shirt/Wrap dress combo. The hemline is cut like a shirt dress, yet the belt is attached so it wraps around you. And no buttons. It has a big snap on the inside. I really wished I could find this dress in other fabrics with patterns. I would definitely snatch them up! I really like this blue shade and the stripes that actually make a slight check pattern that is very subtle. A shirt dress is easy to wear all through the year, because it can be worn by itself (like here) and over a pair of skinny jeans. I think this dress would be so cute over a pair of flared trousers going into Fall. That would give it more of a Boho look. This particular dress is also wrap dress which gives it a little different twist. This dress I’ve had for a while, but I’ve given you several others to pick from down below that are comparable. What’s great too about this type of dress is it can be worn casual or dressed up. It all depends on what accessories you choose.

Being creative and seeing how many different ways I can wear a piece is also a fun challenge too.

I’ve added a pair of white sandals with a block heel that are simple and easy to walk in. I do think that a cute pair of mules or even a sneaker would be darling with this dress.

I decided my color would be added with the clutch I chose. A fun colorful clutch can add just the right “WOW” factor to even the most modest outfit.

Round sunnies and my quick and easy up-do is the finish to this look.
