Real or Faux leather is an interesting topic, and I will have to say faux leather has come a long way. I find that most people either love it or hate it. It’s definitely a personal preference that I don’t want to debate. I do have to admit I have about 10 pieces of clothing that are real leather in my wardrobe. Now before you go hating on me, you need to know they are all about 12-15 years old. It is a controversial topic with many designers. Gucci just recently announced they would no longer be using real fur for any of their designs. And there are others like designer Stella McCartney who used vegetarian leather and fur from the get go. She also has a new fabric “Skin Free Skin” that she debuted in her fall 2017 designs. Her company has worked hard to prove you don’t need to use animal products to sell luxury designs.
Today’s ootd is faux leather pants which I purchased a while back. They are really comfortable and warm but not hot. I would recommend when purchasing a pair, that you get them a bit snug – they do stretch out. I was surprised about that part, because I know that real leather stretches. I wasn’t thinking that with these, and if anything, was concerned with them being snug. I didn’t want the seams stressed, so they are a little big now.
I’ve been crazy about the bow tie blouses this fall! I’ve had this blouse for a long time. I tend to hold on to things, so this old blouse is making its debut on the blog. I have linked several blouses down below which are currently out that tie at the neckline. I like how feminine I feel when wearing this style of blouse.
I’m also giving you a nice line up down below of some of my other favorite faux leather pants and tie blouses.
I’d love to hear what you think?
