Pucker Up

Valentine’s Day is finally here! My sweet man is out of town, and I’ll be spending Valentine’s with a dear girlfriend. We will be grabbing a bite to eat and going to the movies. I haven’t been to the movies in so long. The last movie I saw was “The Greatest Showman” a couple of months ago. And what a wonderful movie it was.

In the 38 years we’ve been together, we haven’t missed many Valentine’s with each other. But this year is different. So before he leaves to fly out of town, I’ll pucker up, give him a kiss until he returns on Friday! But now that I think about it, I’ll be watching my grandson for my son and daughter-in-law on Friday and my granddaughter for my daughter and son-in-law on Saturday. Looks like Valentine’s will roll into next week for lucky me!

This is what I’ll be wearing to hang out with my friend on Valentine’s. I’ll start with this cute blue marino wool sweater from Banana Republic. Don’t you love the hot pink lips on the sweater? I paired a blue and white striped button-up blouse under the sweater. This is a great way to wear wool to keep your skin from feeling dry and itchy in the winter. Let’s talk accessories! What about these red lip rhinestone earrings? I couldn’t resist, because they go so well with the sweater. They come in red rhinestone and white rhinestone.
