Perfectly In Tunic

This last week has been busy and filled with so many exciting things.

First off, my sweet husband has been gone to China and is on route now to return home this evening. I had the whole week planned out knowing I wouldn’t have to be home to fix dinner or decide where we were going to eat. It was just me. I do have one son that is still living at home, but he’s easy and has no problem fending for himself. My husband doesn’t either, but I’ve always cooked, so it’s the rhythm of our home in the evening. I know the older I get, I’m such a creature of habit, and I’m trying to break out a bit. I like to stay busy, and sometimes it can come back to bite me.

Let the week begin.

Monday my daughter and son-in-law came home from being out of town. Frankie was happy to see her parents and find out if they had brought her anything. My kids were the same way when they were younger and my husband would travel. He would bring little treats for the kids. And this sweet child is no different then her momma used to be. She was excited to get some sour strings to snack on before she went up to take a rest for the afternoon.

I still had my usual Tuesday and Thursday when I get to pick Frankie up and spend the afternoon playing with her and running a few errands. She loves fashion and makeup. Frankie’s eyes light up when we head to Sephora. It’s the cutest thing ever. Her mother was never like that, but I think she’ll find she enjoys it now because of Frankie.

On Wednesday I headed into the city to support a friend of mine, as she had the opportunity to share how she started as an influencer to a group of designers here in Atlanta. The event was put on by Ragtrade Atlanta and Fashion Atlanta. It was so nice to meet and make new friends.

Figuring out what to wear is never a struggle for me! I picked this tunic from Free People. I really like how it is fitted on my upper body and almost has a bit of an empire waist on me. (Which works well for my shape.) The top has this slit from the waist down and has this light gauze bottom.  The weight of this tunic is so nice. It is a sheer top, and it will look cute with a pair of cut-off denim shorts or a pair of Bermuda shorts. I’d wear flat strappy sandals with the shorts. For those of you who might shy away from this top because it’s too sheer or that it might show a bit of skin at the waist line, I wore a flesh tone camisole under it. I’ve linked it all down below.

There are so many different ways to wear tunics during spring and summer. You may like them as a dress, top and/or cover-up over your bathing suit. I’m giving you other tunic options down below.

How will you wear your tunic this season?

XO
