Olive and the Bolo

As everyone gets ready for fall, we here in Atlanta are still dealing with warm temperatures. I’m trying to get a few more wears out of all my linen clothes. Since it seems to stay warmer here in the south longer then the rest of the country, I’ll begin to mix summer and fall clothes together. I’m glad this dress is olive, because it transitions over to cooler weather quite nicely! I’ll add a long cardigan or duster in any number of colors from gray, to navy, black, brown, tan and burgundy. Having a good selection neutrals is key to connecting your wardrobe from one season to the next. It’s just as important as having basics. Basics are the pieces that take you from warmer weather to cooler weather and vice-versa.

So back to my outfit…..I received this bolo necklace from Moonpopcorn. Isn’t it cute?? These necklaces are really easy to wear, and there are several different ways to wear them. You can wear them short (choker-like) or long, in a bow, or knot them.  I also really like wearing multiple necklaces in different  colors.  I love the cream color with the olive color. I paired the linen dress with this brown leather Banana Republic belt I’ve had for years. These snake embossed sandals with natural wood heel by Diane von Furstenburg were my shoes choice.  They are really comfortable, believe it or not!
