Today on the blog (and over on YouTube!) I wanted to go over my Skin Care Routine for Colder Months! Skin care is so important as we age, and i’ve been using some really great products lately that I want to share with you all.
Now first off, my skin care routine for the colder months will definitely consist of drinking more water.
When the colder months come in the air gets dryer. Dehydration of your skin is one of the major things that you need to take care of and address. It’s a little tougher during the colder months because we aren’t working out outside and we’re not in the hot sun.
I don’t know about you but I’m not as thirsty when I’m cold. Last winter I drank a lot of hot water. I know right, it sounds gross. But it was easier for me to drink more and it kept me warm.
Regardless of what season it is, your water intake is going to make a significant difference in how your skin looks and feels.
SO DRINK LOTS OF WATER!
My skin care routine for the colder months will always consist of products that show big results.
That’s what I found with using Neocutis the last couple of months. This is a pharmaceutical-grade skincare line that I received from Atlanta Face and Body. This line has helped with the texture, redness in my skin, and the fine lines around my eyes. I can’t say enough good things about this line because of the results that I’ve seen with my skin.
The true test will be though when the weather gets extremely dry and cold. You see when it gets cold here my skin windburns easily and gets very dehydrated.
Here are the products I have been using for the last 4 months.
I double cleanse my face in the P.M. (in the A.M. I cleanse my face once) Yes, you heard me right I cleanse my face twice. I use Precleanse by Dermatological to remove all my makeup from my face. Next, I use Neo Cleanse exfoliating cleanser by Neocutis to help cleanse my skin. The first one cleans off all the debris from the day, make-up, oils, and all the nastiness you pick up during the day on your face. The second actually cleanses my skin and helps exfoliate old skin cells off my face.
This preps my skin in order for it to receive the next products that I’m going to apply.
Lumière Firm from Neocutis comes next. This eye cream is patted lightly under my eyes with my ring finger. This cream reduces the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, and under-eye darkness. It was formulated to target the delicate area around the eye and also has growth factors in the formula.
Hyalis+ from Neocutis is an intensely hydrating serum. It will deeply moisturize my skin and help with hydration especially during the cold winter months. It also minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Bio Serum Firm from Neocutis the serum contains rejuvenating growth factor and proprietary peptides anti-aging formulation. This minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, refined your texture, and will brighten up your skin tone. It’s also helping me take care of a lot of the redness in my skin.
While the Bio Serum is soaking into my face I’ll take care of my neck and décolletage and apply Neo Firm Neck and Décolletage tightening cream from Neocutis. This product is formulated specifically for the neck and décolletage. This cream helps with elasticity and diminishes the appearance of age spots on uneven skin tones.
The last two products are Bio Cream Firm which is a moisturizer and Journée which is a sunscreen with an SPF of 30. Both of these products are from Neocutis.
I have a couple of different oils that I use during the cold weather months in the A.M., that I add to my skin care routine before I put my makeup on. I’ve listed them down below.
