Happy Weekend to Everyone!
If you follow me, you know that my Anniversary was Wednesday, (if you didn’t know, now you do) but instead of heading out to celebrate, I went to work on the blog, and also had pictures that needed to be taken. We decided to postpone our celebrating until this weekend. We wouldn’t be rushed, and we wanted to be able to have a relaxing evening. Theses days the relaxing parts are few and far between, so we work hard to be very intentional to spending quality time with each other. We know how important it is for our marriage as well as our friendship. It’s not something we achieved overnight, it took a lot of work, but we decided when we got remarried, (you can read a little about our story in the blog post “Here’s to #37”) we would make it a priority. We would try and continue to date each other. It was great when the kids were little and we could afford to get a babysitter (we never had parents close by to help while the children were young), and we had to be creative when money was tight. Regardless of the situation, we did what we could to work it out and spend time together. Now when we get to head out to a nice restaurant with fine dining it’s a treat! And yes, I’m excited about going out tonight.
One of the things that we love to do is try new restaurants. In fact, I’m married to a man that loves to plan things like dinners out, vacations and trips. He loves researching, he would have made a great detective or private investigator. He likes all that information, and it’s funny sometimes – I think he enjoying all the planning way more then the actual event. There is a plethora of great places to eat here in Atlanta. It’s one of the perks about living in or around a big city! Tonight we are heading out to “The Lawrence” a Southern Contemporary restaurant. I’ll let you know what I think about the place on a later date. I’m actually even thinking about adding this to the blog, so you all can let me know what you think about that.
I like any excuse to dress up! Well, let me rephrase that, “I don’t really need an excuse to dress up!” For me it’s psychological, I feel good when I dress up. It makes me happy! It’s probably a bit silly to some, but that’s just Me!
This outfit is a more modern romantic look with the off-the-shoulder ruffles and silver polka dots. I’m sad to say the top is sold out, and it went quickly. I know why – its edgy look with silver metallic dot, but very feminine and romantic with the off the shoulder ruffle. These wide-leg cropped trousers are easy to wear year round. They look cute with a pump or bootie moving into fall. I paired them with these sueded studded sandals from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Tomorrow is the last day of the sale, so if you think there is something you may want, now’s the time to look. After tomorrow the prices go back to full price.
