Laced Up

I hope everybody’s having a good week! Today I’m featuring these cute shoes I bought during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. These pointy-toed lace-ups by Halogen have really come in handy, as they are very comfortable. The laces give it a little interesting twist and make the shoes quite easy to wear with a skirt, dress or pants….dressy or casual. The blush color is a great neutral for year-round wear. My go-to pant is always a pair of jeans, but in some cases denim is not appropriate. So when I found khakis that were cut like five-pocket skinny denim, I was sold. I’ve had these pants for several years and gotten quite a lot of wear out of them. The fabric is like a polished cotton with a bit of stretch for comfort. A good fitting khaki is always a must have for everyone. They are every bit as important as a basic black pant to any woman’s wardrobe. The lace top made a perfect color match for the shoes. The sheer lace on the shoulders and sleeve was so pretty. I did wear a strapless bra, because I didn’t want a bra strap to detract from the lace that ran from the neckline down into the sleeve. At the bust line the top has a sweetheart shaped attached cami, which gives it a youthful look. Cute under a blazer it would work well for business casual and then suitable for a date night as well. The sleeve fit and length are great, especially if you are more comfortable with a long sleeves or a 3/4 sleeve (since it comes right to the elbow.)
