Learning to love yourself is so key in life. When I was younger, I struggled so badly with my body image. Growing up in the 1970’s, when low rise bell bottoms were all the rage, I was the girl with the hips. It was tough. Throw in a big bust line, and I felt like a freak in a bad dream. As I’ve matured and learned to work with what I have, it’s been very meaningful. And also knowing who I am has been quite freeing. I’ve embraced the hips and bust line and learned to love the fact that my waist is proportionally much smaller than both the above. So know you aren’t alone if you have ever had issues in this area. Here’s an outfit put together to address my shape. I found this Vince color block cashmere sweater at the great price of $25, originally priced at $200. I paired it with this Gap skinny dress trouser and vintage teal leather jacket. The blocking gives the illusion of a slimmer hip. The jacket is cut right at my waist, playing up my smaller waistline. The bright color draws your eye up and is a great “pop of color.”
And what’s an outfit without a beautiful bag?
