I guess you all figured out I’m not one to follow the rules. I know I’ve been this way since I was very young. My mother tells a story that when I was 2 or 3 years old, she was trying to help me do something, and all I would say to her was “I do it myself”. This has carryover into my adult life – blessing or a curse? I suppose it’s all in the way you look at it, I consider it a blessing. It’s gotten me through some difficult times, and I’ve learned who I am. Life has taught me how to have joy, smile, love well and just be me.
The same goes with fashion – I wear what I want. It may not be what everyone likes, but it’s what makes me happy. What you wear should make you happy and make you feel good. It’s the way I express myself. Dressing for me is all about having fun, and sometimes I’m more practical than others, but again that’s me being me. Whether it’s thinking outside the box, coloring outside the lines……try it – you may like it.

This long sleeve tee is lightweight and oh so soft. Don’t you have those days when you want to wrap up in something soft or stay in your pajamas all day? Tees like this one are what I go for on those days.
I bought these high top sneakers because they are Converse first and foremost, and second they are old school.
The silver culottes have been in my closet for a couple years. They were on sale (under $10) after Christmas a few years back, so I bought them. Metallic goes with everything! I’ve enjoyed wearing them more than I ever thought. I paired them here last year with a striped tee and here the year before with a light weight bomber jacket.
The fun bright blue envelope clutch was a bit of color to amp it all up.
