Hello Friends! This year, I’m more committed than ever to shopping and wearing sustainably in order to get the most out of my closet. One of the best ways I do that is by shopping in my closet: finding creative new ways to style all of my favorite classic garments- this week is tweed!.
The highlight of this classically styled ensemble is this tweed jacket from Loft. It’s so seasonally versatile! As we move into spring, It can easily be matched with a nice pair of jeans and some sneakers for a lighter and more casual look.
This polka-dotted, no-iron blouse from Chicos has definitely stood the test of time. (I bought it in 2017!) And, to add an urban pop, I popped on this pair of faux leather pants.
Classically styled pieces are truly made for individuals of any age. They never go out of style. They can so easily be dressed up, or down, for any occasion. And, they do a fantastic job of building a strong foundation for your wardrobe.
Another great way to shop sustainably is by checking out vintage consignment stores. They are now more accessible than ever with the ever-growing number of online shops. There are so many great finds, many similar to the vintage Burberry sunglasses I’m wearing here.
How do you shop your wardrobe? What are some of your favorite classic pieces? I’d love to know in the comments!

Another really great outfit! I really like the color combination of the blues with the burgundy. I have a similar jacket from Loft that has pastel rainbow colors.
I love that I can dress it up or down with a pair of jeans.
Hi Fran,
You are a very smart gal! Yes, this jacket can be worn in all kinds of ways. I’ve had this tweed jacket for a couple of years.
Thank you for your kind words!
