As we move closer to spring, I am so excited to warm up with some fun, and all the things that make me the happiest. Specifically, fun with friends! My photographer during this shoot happens to be a dear friend of mine from North Carolina. I was so happy to be able to spend time with her.
I am so over winter coats. I couldn’t decide which jacket to wear so I figured why not stay toasty with both! This is another great way to play around with layering and made even better because of how much I love pastels right now. Both of these are utility jackets with the dark being more traditional in style, and the other being lighter in color, and weight.
The wrap dress I paired underneath is comfortable, easy to slip on, and features a classically beautiful pattern. What I love about a wrap dress is that it is so flattering for everybody type. A wrap dress will fantastically accentuate your waist, creating curves and accentuating the curves they are already there. This piece is flirtatious without being too revealing, and it can be styled for any age group.
Maroon boots complement the chocolatey brown tones in the dress.
For fast and easy styling, I let my hair dry naturally, and I spent the day enjoying my soft waves.
I have fallen completely in love with this curly lamb clutch. Its neutral color makes it so easy to pair with so many pieces in my closet, While the texture helps it stand out on its own. It’s also so functional. I love the style of a clutch, but with so many of them, you can only fit your keys and lipstick inside. This one is cute, it’s a lot of fun to carry, and it has space for anything you might need during the day.
I love connecting with people. And as an extension of that, I love how universally flattering a wrap dress can be. It is a piece truly made for all of us. Let me know what your favorite thing about a wrap dress is in the comments!

This is so cute! Love it! I can shop my closet on this one. I have an olive green light jacket I’ve had for years. Never thought about layering it though. Great idea! The dress is great under it too. And my favorite is that punch of color with the maroon boots.
I’m so happy to hear you like this Fran. If you duplicate this look I’d love to see it.
You can never go wrong with an olive jacket for year-round wear.
Have a great week!
