Curvy Jeans for Curvy Women – Spring 2021

Spring is in full swing. And I’m embracing it with everything I’ve got! I want an ensemble that reflects my springtime cheer. There is nothing better for me than this pale pink tulle top. The semi-transparent puffy sleeves leave me feeling like the princess of the park. And the perfect compliment to this fresh, fun, spring feeling is a pair of curvy jeans that leave me feeling royally beautiful as well.

As a woman with curves, finding a pair of mom jeans (and other straight leg styles) that fit both my waist and my hips is no easy venture. This is where curvy jeans come to the rescue! As body positivity movements flourish, jeans designed for women with hourglass shapes have become more readily available. Now, many brands are offering entire collections of curvy jeans.

Some of the Best Curvy Jeans Collections

Like the Agolde 90’s mid-rise jeans I picked for myself, American eagle has a line of Curvy Mom Jeans. These feature an extra 3 inches of waist and hip room by taking their standard 10” high rise, to a wonderful 13”. Extra length in the waist area accentuates curves by accommodating for a rounder rear. It also eliminate unflattering waist gapping.

Abercrombie and Fitch’s line of Curve Love jeans feature an extra two inches of space going around the hips and thighs. Their curvy jeans come all styles, cuts, and washes. From kick flare and super skinny, all the way to the distressed designs that give me the urban touch I find myself so often craving.

With inclusive sizes ranging from 0 to 24, Madewell’s iteration of curvy jeans leaves little to be desired. They incorporated a similar longer rise, as well as an extra 2” around hips and thighs. On top of it all, they’re my sustainable pick of the month! These curvy jeans feature denim blended with sustainable hemp. And the brand has an epic jeans recycling program. ( $20 off each pair of jeans you buy for each pair of gently worn jeans, of any brand, that you bring into donate!) You absolutely cannot go wrong with these!

Completing Your Springtime Ensemble

In the interest of staying fresh and fun, this outfit is perfect for providing safe passage  through the crossroad between spring and summer.

As temperatures rise, curvy mom jeans can be swapped for a pair of curvy jean shorts. Chunky boots can easily be replaced by a pair of beautiful, breezy espadrilles. And, flowing locks can be tied in an elegant updo; complete with a cotton scarf or an adorable ribbon tied in a bow.

Each of these alternatives can be mixed and matched to build the perfect outfit that helps you feel like the princess of your own park.

In the comments, tell me all about a time where you found a garment that was a perfect fit! I love hearing your stories!

  1. Lisa, I love looking at the outfits you come up with! I especially love the top in this post. Love the color and fabric. It’s so soft and feminine.
I do have both curvy and regular jeans. Thank you for some great suggestions of where to buy curvy jeans. I’ve only been buying them at Loft. This post reminded me how crazy sizing in general can be. One minute I can fit in a extra small, or size four, the next I’m in an eight or medium? Recently I’ve been liking the way some Eddie Bauer form fitted tops fit me. They go in at the waist and fit just perfectly on my hips.
I’ve been packing for a trip which I haven’t done in quite a while so that’s been fun. It made me think to ask you what would you wear on an airplane?

Everything I’ve bought from here has been so pretty! Their stores in malls have a really cute atmosphere to them too, with their cute encouraging messages on the mirrors and such. I also love how they have been so inclusive and diverse with their models for years now.
