It’s been pretty busy this last week. My sweet husband’s been in China, this has given me the freedom to help the two older children with the sweet grand babies. Watching these grandbabies has also reminded me of why we have our children when we are younger. I’ve been so tired the past couple days, I’m not sure if I’m coming or going, or exactly what day it is. I’m not complaining, I have loved every minute of watching them!
It’s been a week of having tea parties, playing with Playdo and coloring with my granddaughter. Toddlers are quite busy these days. I’ve also gotten to sit and love on my sweet grandson. He’s starting to fill out and look like a little boy instead of a newborn.
So the ootd has been clothes that are loose, and shoes that you can run in. Yes, I’ve found myself having to chase down a child– I had forgotten how they think that’s a game. Those little ones are fast these days, or maybe this Mimi has gotten a little slower. Either way, I wanted to feel put-together yet be able to get down on the floor and play. A sports tee, culottes, sneakers and a light bomber jacket was my go-to outfit. And I finished the look with this fun cross body bag, because this Mimi needed her hands free These culottes I found after Christmas on clearance at Zara. The thing I like about culottes is they feel like a skirt, but wear like pants. They also look great with a blouse, t-shirt or sweater and can be dressed up or dressed down. Today’s look was a bit more sporty casual, but I could easily see these culottes with heels and a floral blouse as the weather gets warmer.
The weather has been a bit warmer than usual, so it’s been great to get outside with my sweet girl and let her run out some of her energy. I’ve also been able to get out with my grandson too. We walked on the Beltline, which was a first for little guy and the new parents. And although it was his first walk, I see many more in this little guys future.
So there’s my crazy week! I’ve been busy, but I always try to stay current and fashionable.
