Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Greetings to you all!
I’m in full cooking mode here at the Hale house. The sweet potato casserole is baking and filling the house with such a wonderful aroma of cinnamon and brown sugar. My mouth is watering as I wait for the timer to go off. Next up to cook will be my Five Cheese Mac and Cheese, and it is the one thing that is unanimously requested from all my kids. I’m really looking forward to see my little granddaughter, Frankie Rae’s face when she gets a taste of it. I hope her face lights up like her momma’s did when she was younger, and she knew this was on the menu. The only thing that will need to be done tomorrow will be cook the turkey and make the mashed potatoes. And then of course I’m always thinking about what will be fun, yet comfortable to wear.
Here recently I’ve been enjoying wearing chunky oversized sweaters. The loose and unrestricted feel will be a great sweater to wear for the holidays with leggings, trousers, pleated skirt, jeans and khakis. Today’s #ootd is one of those comfy sweaters along with these amber-colored khakis from Old Navy. This sweater is not only chunky and oversized, but it’s a cold shoulder number. These shoulder revealing tops have been such a big trend from Spring/Summer and now into Fall/Winter. I’ve also given you several of my favorites down below from a mid range price point to a higher end price. The Khakis I chose to feature with this look have been part of my wardrobe for a while. I’ve rounded up several similar pairs down below that would be a great addition to anyone’s closet. The chill in the air and my exposed shoulder lead me to grab this floral long scarf from H&M. When I was out last week, I stopped in H&M and was pleasantly surprised they had already started their “Black Friday” sales. I got this patterned scarf for $13. It is a great size and can be worn several different ways. The tote is a Rebecca Minkoff , that I purchased during Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale. This tote is my ideal size bag which holds everything I need with ease.
