I had the opportunity to visit my son and daughter-in-law, in their cute stylish loft apartment in Atlanta. Did I tell you I love the city I live in? While I was there, I got to visit with my grandcat, Loki.
This cat is so sweet, and he’s not your average cat. He acts a lot more like a dog than a cat. There is also a wonderful rescue story that comes along with him.
When my son and daughter in law were dating, they were on their way back to our home one evening, on a warm summer night. Briley, my son had almost run over a squirrel, a block from our house, earlier in the day. These little pesky critters run out in front of your car, and it’s so disturbing to even think about having to hit one.
We talked at great length about how we each had swerved through the years to avoid these rodents with fluffy tails. So this particular evening, as they were headed back, out of the corner of Briley’s eye he spotted something small moving, and instead of it being a squirrel, it was a tiny ball of orange fur.
Briley stopped the car, and he and Natalie jumped out to grab up the tiniest kitten I’ve ever seen. The poor little thing looked like a bobblehead kitten. There was no mother in sight. They scooped him up and brought him to my house.
To look at him now, you’d never know how rough a start he had! I’m thankful to be able to go visit the kids and love on this sweet cat.
