A couple months ago cabi clothing reached out to me to do a collaboration with them. I was asked to choose several things out of their current collection and style the pieces anyway that I saw fit. I was more than happy to oblige them. These are the pieces I chose to style here in this blog post. I enjoyed looking over the brand and seeing what they offered on-line and reading up on the business model they had created. I thought it was all interesting, and as usual, I was on to the next thing I had going on in my life.
Life can sometimes be a list of checks and balances.
Fast forward to a month ago, when cabi clothing contacted me and asked if I would be interested in coming to Nashville, Tennessee for their cabi Fall Scoop. Yes, I was game to come see what they were going to be releasing for their fall line up. And who doesn’t love a good Fashion Show, as well as an opportunity to meet and make new friends?
I really had no idea what I was in store for, because it was anything but your basic fashion show.
I flew into Nashville, and I was taken to the Gaylord Opryland where I had a lovely room. There I steamed my clothes and got ready to meet up with everyone at 3:30pm.
At 4:00pm the Fashion Show opening ceremony started. There was a fabulous DJ who cranked out some great tunes starting with Journey, “Don’t Stop Believing” which got everyone up, dancing and singing along.
This seasons theme was “Uniquely Us” with each of the groups in the collection named after a different women.
SIMONE, BIANCA, ALI, KATE, ZADIE, CLAIR, SAMANTHA.
The fashion show was amazing, and each grouping in the collection has something to offer everyone. It ranges from classically chic, to earthy boho, from your best friends look, to a total boss girl vibe. Next it was on to athleisure wear, and Gem tones to Chanel inspired looks with animal and snake print dabbled in amongst it all.
After the show we had a lovely dinner out at Sambuca. We had the chance to visit with the other influencers all while we feasted on some delicious food. And listen to some music from Brian Collins Band.
The closing ceremonies were the next day at 3:15pm where we heard about the heart of cabi and making a difference, not just within the company, but all across the world.
This was very inspirational and spoke directly to me.
What resonated with me is what I’ve talked with so many women about – being the best you. Embracing the fact that we all are very different and unique. And instead of doing what we are comfortable with, like finding others that are like-minded, it’s about celebrating each of us for who we are. As women we long to be known and be a part of something bigger than ourselves. We are stronger as women when we come together as a community. This company has been intentional in the way they work together with love, creating a community with their staff, stylist, hostesses and everyone in between all to make a difference. And cabi understands it’s a WIN WIN for all involved.
My suit jacket, pants and top are all gifted to me from cabi clothing. I’ve styled the suit 2 different ways to show you how easy it is to go from work to casual with simply changing the accessories.
I want to thank cabi for giving me the opportunity to attend my first ever cabi Fall Scoop. As a blogger it was enlightening to have a peek into this brand and all that cabi does. What a wonderful culture to thrive and grow in. I believe we all have something to contribute, and we are at our best when we are doing that and loving others well.
