Sometimes in life you have to dress the way you want to feel. I know recently I’ve been away from the blog because of health issues in my family, and things like that can make you feel gray, so I wanted to showcase a lovely boho chic blouse that has a vibrant floral pattern to add some of the color that I’ve been missing lately.
This blouse is an amazing statement piece to have in one’s wardrobe, and any large pattern, bright color blouse could do the trick. Whatever works with your skin tone.
Here I paired it with a classic dark flair high-waisted denim with some detailed stitching down the front. A flair works well to add some shape. I also added a bright yellow belt as another block of color, and another time I have worn this outfit I paired it with a braided belt.
Keeping with the boho feel of the blouse, I added a wedge sandal with a pop of yellow color that ties into the belt as well as a fun straw bag with a round shape. When it comes to shoes, it is sometimes easy to throw on a comfortable flat, but don’t be afraid to add some height with a fun sandal. And a wedge is a great way to do that, and it’s easy for anyone to wear. This pair adds even more fun with the marble pattern on the platform and the suede texture on the straps. The round shape straw bag is a fun throw-ahead to summer, which is quickly approaching. The style is neutral enough that it doesn’t overpower the print of the blouse, but it still is a great way to create texture and movement in the outfit, or you can twirl in the street like I did.
I paired this outfit with a gold necklace – a big statement piece that is simple yet still eye grabbing.
I love Inman Park! The neighborhood where these pictures were taken is a great place to shop as well as eat.
